Aside

“Valley of Flowers” the name seems to be an instance from fairytale. Isn’t it folks! But it really exists in India. Here I will give a brief account of an interesting place which is called as “Valley of Flowers.” As the name signifies, so is the place.Other name of spirituality is nature the pious and unspoiled.

Once, I heard its reference in my geography class when I was in 7th grade. Valley of flowers is basically an Indian national park nestled in West Himalaya which comes in the region of Uttarakhand. The whole valley is adorned with meadows of endemic alpine flowers and numerous exotic and rare breeds of flora. The highly vegetation reached area has rare and endangered fauna like Asiatic Black Beer, Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Brown Bear, Blue Sheep etc.  The valley is home for numerous lovely variety of bird species. In July 2005, it was declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

‘Valley of Flowers’ is 3352 to 3658 meters above sea level. The park is spread over the expanse of 8km long and 2km wide.  There is very interesting story associated with this place. In the year 1931, Frank S. Smythe, Eric Shipton and R.L. Holdsworth all British mountaineers got lost their way back from their adventurous expedition to Mt. Kamet and they lost the trail, they wandered into the valley and was astounded by seeing the panoramic view of the valley, it was beautifully blooming with several colors of flower and in different varieties. The view was so mesmerizing that they were so astounded that they spontaneously named it “Valley of Flowers.”  Later on Frank Smythe penned a book with the same title.

“Valley of Flowers” is located in inner Himalayan valley. The valley has micro-climate and is very well guarded by Himalaya from severity of southwest summer monsoon. The valley is snow covered for six to seven months from October to march. The valley comes to life when snow melts and life blooms with nature’s brightest colors, the valley turns up dotted with rainbow of colors and is not less than fairyland. The lovely spring season brings joyous colors of nature and valley looks lively, rapture and divine abode. The lush greenery, embellished with hues of nature is really hypnotizing, a completely fascinating and unforgettable eye feasting beauty! Cherishing memory whoever visit this unique place.

Lets Save Himalaya Spirituality By Keeping it Green and Clean

Talking about Hindu Spirituality, importance of “Himalaya” cannot be ignored. “Mount Himalaya” is “King of Mountains”. It has not just given India protection from wanderers from North but has made Indian climatic conditions wonderful due to its mighty stand as glorifying crown and witnessing changes of civilization from ancient times. Today India’s natural prosperity, flora, fauna, exotic herbs, natural resources and wonderful climate, perennial river like The Ganga and its tributaries plays important part in giving India a flourished civilization.

The Himalaya has been given supreme importance in Indian scriptures and mythology. Himalaya offers variety of attractions for different people. Some like to explore it for herbs and medicines. For adventure fanatics Himalaya offers river rafting, mountain climbing, wildlife camping etc. For Hindus Himalaya is regarded as paradise, abode of temples, saints and gurus. There are many Hindu pilgrimages situated in the lap of Himalaya. The temples like Amaranth, Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri , Kailash Mansarovar etc. are highly revered, these temples are most holy places for Indians, and they all wish to pay visit at least once in their lifetime. The temples situated in higher altitudes are opened for limited time period, as it is mostly covered with snow and its not possible to visit these places, as natural calamities do occur because of heavy snowfall. For specified time period you can visit this places and will be surprised seeing faith of millions of pilgrims, who undertake such arduous journey to show their respect and belief. The devotees flock in groups and feels great in undertaking such difficult pilgrimage with so much of devotion and faith. The year long  tradition of traveling religious places is seen in every religion.

India has divergent religions and faiths, and offers pious destinations to different cultures from other parts of world, to explore its amazing cultural richness and embraces everyone with equality and humility.

Today, things are changing, it is said that Himalayan glaciers are melting very fast due to global warming, the speedily deforestation has endangered many species, cutting of mountains for constructions, building of dams, poaching etc has disturbed the ecological balance of Himalayan region. As a result Himalaya is rapidly losing its extensive vegetation, wildlife. due to rapid cutting of forest soil erosion is happening. government should take responsible steps to stop such things and make strict laws who violate the norms of nature. Should make law for controlled tourism in a systematic ways. Ban on tins, glass and plastic or other harmful wastes, to stop deposition of non biodegradable waste.

How can Hindu deities withstand so much of trash around their shrine, to flush the garbage, I think that’s why in the year 2013 heavy rain, cloudburst flooded the Himalaya, creating havoc and disaster and left thousands of family homeless and grief stricken.

Lets make our heritage rich, beautiful and safe for posterity. The spirituality doesn’t means making your inner-self purify but to keep the heritage of ancestors intact and not to litter around. Let the spirituality, virtues of healthy and peaceful  living  prevail every corner of the world. Otherwise no one can stop nature from retaliating.

My Mind is Traveling Leaving Me Behind, The Dream to Travel is Leaving Me Crazy

My Mind is Traveling Without Me

Today I am bewildered, my mind is trying to break free, where it would go, quiet difficult to know. But today for sure my mind is traveling,  its not with me and left out to journey alone. It happens some time we are lost in something, everything goes hazy and blurred, I am in trance for no known reasons. I am bewildered how my mind can fly to such places which i have not been thought.

My thought are transcending all boundaries, touching different realms of nature, culture, habitat and people. Its sure my subconscious mind which want to break free today and get the taste of different things. It seems I am dissolving myself in euphoria of going away and exploring the vast world. The universe around me pulling my inner self more and more away from me.

The more I resist myself from parting away my feelings, more I am getting into the magic of transcending, I am helpless, but I admit, I am letting my mind go where it wants to wander, May be my mind wants to enjoy all sort of things which I physically cannot achieve. The life is small, the world is vast, dynamic, the more I get into it, i am getting perplexed.

The horizon, the blue water, the deep forest, the giant mountains, the glaciers, the beautiful landscapes, animals, birds all creatures, there is so much, the secrets behind civilization, the told and untold mysteries, the dry land, deserts all are beckoning me come and see, come and unfold the secrets, explore the truth of nature and learn what nature loves and how much it has lost by menace of mankind.

M mind is happy seeing the beautiful aspects of nature, wildlife, spirituality, mythology, the folktales. Today my mind is asking me not to stop the feelings, its forcing me to get into the labyrinth of life and nature and experience the hidden mystery. I am afraid of getting lost, but i can sense the energy flowing into me, may be I want to travel, explore and discover the objective of nature and mystery of spirituality. I want to be a wanderer, with the motive of saving the world from getting destroyed so much of heat, high pressure on land, forest area is shrinking, the glaciers are melting, desert are expanding, rivers are drying, many flora and fauna are endangered animals and birds species loosing their existence. This beautiful world is loosing its sheen, its softness, its nature is getting lost and troubled. My mind is saying I can’t survive anymore I am leaving you. We have also threatened our life. Can we live in separation of nature, what if we have no night and day, oh it gives me creep, my inner-self is crying, how it will be, sure a hell.

Now i understood, why my mind is traveling without me, because it knows, the world is changing, its better to visit the nature and culture before its get too late to enjoy the bliss of native world, things are changing and so the world. My mind is saying please no stop, already enough plastic surgery you have done to this planet, let it not lose its originality, Save Earth, my mind is traveling without me, before its too late.
